Thomas Companies Credit Card Policy
Due to a number of fraudulent attempts to use stolen credit cards in the past we have adopted this policy to protect our customers and ourselves from credit card fraud. We regret the inconvenience that this causes to our customers, and we will strive to keep that inconvenience to a bare minimum. First time customers credit card customers and customers using a credit card to have items shipped outside of the United States will need to fill out our Credit Card Authorization form (you can download here or we will be happy to email, fax, or mail it to you at your request). We also require a photocopy of the front and back of the credit card and a copy of your driver’s license or some other form of picture identification. We now ask for the CCV/CVD/CID number off of the credit card for verification. We also use the AVS (Address Verification System) to verify credit card information. You can have alternative shipping addresses authorized on your credit card account and should contact your credit card provider for more information. The CCV (Credit Card Validation) number is a 3 digit code printed on the back of your card in the signature panel. If there are more than 3 digits, the CCV is always the last 3, as shown below. This number provides an additional check on the validity of the card.

The customer understands, acknowledges and agrees that Thomas Companies may revise policies, agreements and notices at any time without notice and that he or she shall be bound by the policy currently posted on the Thomas Companies web site. Thomas Companies considers the submission of fraudulent Credit/Debit Card information for services or products ordered and provided to be prima fascia evidence of 'Theft" as defined under New Hampshire Criminal Code § 637:8. It is the policy of Thomas Companies to report all forms of Credit/Debit Card fraud and/or attempted Credit/Debit Card fraud to the appropriate legal authorities (including Interpol), regardless of country of origin, including Nigeria and to vigorously prosecute individuals and/or companies that commit Credit/Debit Card fraud by means of charge-backs, use of fraudulent Credit/Debit Cards or other forms of Credit/Debit Card fraud. Individuals and/or companies ordering services should be aware that Thomas Companies captures certain information concerning orders for service, including but not limited to time, date, IP address and other information which may be used to locate and identify individuals attempting to commit or committing theft of service by means of Credit/Debit Card fraud.
